La Place Du Manguier

The launch of La Place du Manguier at Quartier des Serres required more than an architectural reveal. The project highlighted the artisans who crafted its furniture, décor, and details through a dedicated film and event experience. My role spanned narrative direction, video production, design coordination, PR integration, and event UX — resulting in over 100,000 video views, strong media coverage, and increased visitor footfall.

My Role

I led the creative and strategic direction of the project — from narrative development, video production, editing, and sound design to design coordination, supplier management, PR integration, and event UX. My role was central in aligning every touchpoint, ensuring the launch felt cohesive across film, communications, and on-site experience.

The Challenge

La Place du Manguier was opening as a new social hub at Quartier des Serres. The project wasn’t simply about revealing an architectural space — it was about giving visibility to the artisans who shaped it, from the pergolas and furniture to the pots and raffia curtains. At the same time, the launch needed to feel complete: a film, an event, and a communications push that would position the space as a place people wanted to visit.

The Process

From the start, we knew the story had to be told through the voices of the artisans themselves. Working with our PR coordinator, we organised interviews that went beyond technical explanations and allowed them to share their journeys, their pride, and their connection to the Domaine. I structured the narrative around these conversations, so the film felt less like a promotional piece and more like a celebration of people.

Editing was an intense part of the process. It wasn’t just about cutting footage — it was about finding the right rhythm so that each artisan had their moment. Choosing the music and sound design was equally important, because it had to carry the warmth and authenticity of their words.

Parallel to the video, the physical side of the launch was taking shape. With our designer, we developed posters, tote bags, vouchers, and press kits, making sure they felt consistent with the creative direction of the film. Once the designs were finalised, I took care of production and printing deadlines, working with suppliers to make sure everything was ready on time.

On the communications side, we built a digital press kit through Linktree, updated the website’s news section, and tracked published coverage as it came in. The goal was to make it easy for journalists and influencers to write about the launch with the right assets in hand.

For the event itself, I worked with the Quartier des Serres team to plan the guest experience — invitations, signage, press engagement, and overall flow. In parallel, I coordinated with our social media team to schedule the release of the video so that the story extended beyond the launch day.

The Outcome

  • A central film celebrating five artisan groups.

  • Event collateral and guest touchpoints designed to reinforce the story.

  • A digital press kit and web feature to support media outreach.

  • 100,000+ video views, strong social engagement, and increased footfall at Quartier des Serres, directly benefiting Ti Moris Snack.

Reflection

La Place du Manguier was a medium-sized project, but one that required end-to-end involvement — from narrative and video production to design coordination and event UX. For me, the most rewarding part was witnessing how the artisans’ pride translated into a film that not only honoured their craft but also drew new audiences to discover the space.
